Administrator

Karen Glaza, MSW, LCSW, LNHA

Karen Glaza joined Alden in June 2011 as the Assistant Administrator at Alden Estates of Orland Park. In November 2011, she was appointed Administrator of Alden Northmoor. Karen previously worked as a Medical Social Worker and as the Director of Social Services at a skilled nursing facility. Karen has a bachelor's degree in Psychology from Loyola University of Chicago and a master's degree in Social Work from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Michigan. She is a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) and licensed nursing home administrator (LNHA).

Assistant Administrator

Valerie Buniao, MBA

Valerie Buniao has been the Assistant Administrator since August 2009. She began her career in rehabilitation and long-term care in 2003 at Alden Lakeland Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in Chicago and has worked in various positions throughout the organization. Valerie has her bachelor's degree in Marketing and Human Resources Management and her master's degree in Health Care Management from Loyola University Chicago.

Director of Nursing

Claudine Doria, RN

Claudine Doria, RN, was named Director of Nursing in May 2011 after having served as an Assistant Director of Nursing for 1 year and a half. Claudine began her career at Alden in 2006 as a Dietary Aide at Alden Estates of Evanston, and worked as a floor nurse at Alden Northmoor for 3 years before she became an ADON. She works part-time in the Medical/Surgical Rehabilitation Unit at a Chicago-area hospital. Claudine received her Nursing degree from Triton College in River Grove.

Assistant Director of Nursing

Melody Laurent, RN

Assistant Director of Nursing Melody Laurent, RN, has been the Assistant Director of Nursing since June 2011. She previously served as a floor nurse at Alden Northmoor for five years before assuming her current position. As a licensed professional, she enjoys mentoring the nursing staff to promote and maintain consistent delivery of care. She received her nursing degree from Oakton College in Des Plaines.
